“I want to look awesome but I’ve only got 5 minutes to put on my makeup!” I pouted down the phone. Luckily, the person on the end of the line happened to be Josh Flinn – star of Australia’s Next Top Model, Channel 9 fashion commentator, and person who occasionally picks up my calls.
And fortunately for us, he was more than happy to share his top four makeup essentials to reach for when you’re in a hurry:
Josh’s Top 4 quick makeup picks:
1. Tinted moisturiser, preferably with a sunscreen – whether it’s summer or not, you need that protection. I love Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector, the all-in-one BB cream and Invisible Zinc Tinted Daywear in Medium.
2. Lip-balm or paw paw ointment to tame your brows – just a little dab will set them and make them look tidier. Try Lucas’ Paw Paw– my flatmate Candi is a demon possessed with it – she has the softest skin in history!
3. ALWAYS, always layer on thick black mascara – we want to see messy, chunky lashes. They look like they take ages, but they don’t, so lack of time in this case, is your friend. Napoleon Perdis has a great option and Shu Uemura is unbeatable for Twiggy-esque peepers…
4. A dash of lip-gloss to add polish and shine.
